Privacy notice
Short, because our handling of personal information is short. Elite Drone Solutions is based in Victoria, British Columbia and operates under British Columbia and Canadian privacy legislation.
What we collect through this site
Only what you type into a form. The quote form collects your name, company, email, phone, project location, the service you need, approximate area, timeline and your message. The training waitlist form collects your name, email, the programme you are interested in and your message. Both forms include a hidden field that only automated submissions fill in, which we use to discard spam.
What we do with it
Prepare and send you a quote, or contact you about training. That is the whole purpose. We do not add you to a mailing list, we do not sell or share your details with third parties for their own purposes, and we do not use your information for advertising.
Where it goes
Form submissions are transmitted to us by email through our hosting provider and an email delivery service acting on our behalf. Both process the data only to deliver the message. This site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages, which processes standard request information such as IP address and country for security and delivery purposes.
How long we keep it
Enquiries are retained while there is a live prospect and for a reasonable period afterwards for our business records. You can ask us to delete your enquiry at any time and we will.
Embedded map
The contact page embeds a Google Maps frame so you can see where we are based. When that frame loads, Google receives your IP address and may set cookies, under its own privacy policy rather than ours. The frame is set to load only when you scroll to it, and nothing else on this site loads Google resources. If you would rather not load it, the same information is written out in text beneath it: we are in Victoria, British Columbia, reachable on 250.208.4279.
Cookies and analytics
This site sets no advertising cookies and runs no cross-site tracking. Where site analytics are in use they are configured to measure aggregate traffic rather than to identify individuals, and no analytics data is shared for advertising purposes.
Aerial imagery and personal information
Our work produces aerial imagery of land and structures, which can incidentally include people, vehicles and private property. We treat that seriously rather than as an afterthought.
We capture what the job requires and no more. We do not deliberately image individuals, private interiors or areas where a person would reasonably expect privacy, and imagery captured incidentally is not published without consideration of who is in it. Project imagery is delivered to the commissioning client, who becomes responsible for its use. We ask a client before using any project imagery in our own portfolio or marketing, and a refusal is not a problem.
Where we support emergency service operations, imagery is provided to the tasking agency and is not released to media or third parties by us.
If you believe you or your property appear in imagery of ours and you have a concern, contact us and we will deal with it.
Your rights
You can ask what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, and ask us to delete it. Email info@elitedronesolutions.ca or call 250.208.4279 and we will respond promptly.
