The flight review, and who conducts it
To fly under Transport Canada Advanced Operations you need to pass a flight review with a certified Flight Reviewer. David holds that certification, alongside a commercial helicopter licence and more than twenty years of flying.
A flight review is a competency check. Being assessed by someone who has spent two decades making real aviation decisions in real weather means you will be asked about your decision-making, not just your stick handling.
Choose what you need
Flight reviews and training are booked with a short request form. Consulting starts with a free intro call on the calendar.

Training, answered
Are you a Transport Canada flight school?
No. David is a certified Transport Canada Flight Reviewer, so we conduct flight reviews for the Advanced Operations certificate directly. Written exams are administered by Transport Canada; we help candidates prepare for them. We do not run approved courses.
How do I book a flight review or flight training?
Use the booking request form on this page. Tell us what you fly, your certificate level and the dates that suit you. David replies within one business day to confirm a date, location and price.
How much does consulting cost?
The first 15-minute intro call is free. Consulting sessions after that are $250 per hour plus GST, paid online when you book.
Can you advise our team on LiDAR and photogrammetry?
Yes, as consulting. If your team is flying but the data coming back is not usable (poor control, wrong overlap, misclassified point clouds, deliverables nobody can open), that is a workflow problem, and it is what our geomatics specialist has spent fifteen years solving. Start with a free intro call.
Where is training delivered?
Victoria and the south Island, or on site at your facility for groups. Practical sessions need suitable airspace and ground, which we arrange.
Does a booking request commit me to anything?
No. We reply with availability and a price. No deposit to enquire, no obligation, and we will not add you to a marketing list.
Need the work done rather than learned?
We fly survey, mapping, inspection and monitoring across Vancouver Island. If you need data, it may be quicker to have it flown.
Flight reviews are conducted under Transport Canada authority by a certified Flight Reviewer. Written examinations are administered by Transport Canada directly.
